Fast Patch Treasury of Strip quilt projects book

Anita Hallock, 186 pages, 1989

The invention of the wheel changed quiltmaking forever-the rotary wheel, that is. Not having to cut around little shapes with scissors freed the imagination. Soon quilters were cutting long strips of many layers of fabric, resewing the strips, and slicing off pieced squares and rectangles. Now Anita Hallock of Springfield, OR, has taken that concept beyond simple strips. By using a rotary wheel cutter and making a checkerboard of strips, turning them on the bias, cutting strips of triangles, you can make a whole range of traditional blocks like Ohio Star and easy sawtooth borders. reference tool for both beginner and advanced patchwork quilters. Producing rows of accurate triangles is a welcome addition to strip-piecing techniques. This innovative method is quick, precise, and easily mastered. It makes a great workshop! Jane Hall, co-author, Perfect Pineapples.
