Description
How to Draw Supervillains book, 1994, 32 pages, Illustrated by Jael
This book will show you how to draw lots of different superheroes and supervillains. Some are more difficult than others, but if you follow along, step-by-step, you’ll soon be able to draw any hero or villain you wish. Each figure in this book begins with a line or stick figure. This establishes the direction or movement of the character to be drawn. Then, different kinds of oval shapes are added over the line figure to round out the basic sections of the body. Variati ons of ovals and other basic shapes will also be used. Note: The basic shapes usually overlap when forming the arms and legs. The first two steps of each drawing look easy, but they are the most important. It’s here that you create a solid foundation of the figure – much like a builder who must first construct a foundation before building the rest of the house. If the foundation of your drawing is solid, you’ll quickly get to the fun part – creating the muscles, face, clothing, and weapons, and adding all the details and finishing touches.
