vintage Scoville Dritz spool box, No. 786. there is an atomic star detail on the lid

pegs for 24 spools and 3 compartments; marked PINS, THIMBLES-BUTTONS.  Small bumps on the exterior sides of the box at both ends have small holes above the knobs for pulling thread from the spools, out the holes and then wrap the end of the thread around the knob.

The box measures about 8 3/4″ x 6 1/2″ x 2 1/8″ with the lid closed. Made of clear plastic, there are scratches and scuffs from use but no breakage of any kind. The latch closes securely and the hinges are good.
